All of the Straight power 11 series power supplies are 80 plus rated. The line up consists only of Gold and Platinum rated power supplies. The Gold series offers models with wattage ratings of 450, 550, 650, 750, 850, and 1000w. The Platinum rated line starts out and finishes a little higher at 550w extending all the way up to an impressive 1200w.I’ll be testing the 750w model from the gold series. The entire gold series has an efficiency rating of up to 93%. Both lines in the Straight power 11 family use a Silent Wings 3 135mm fan for cooling. In be quiet! tradition, the silent wings 3 offer great airflow with nearly no audible noise. Be quiet tested the PSU under 20%, 50%, and 100% loads to better understand the noise output. At 20% they noted 8.41dba, 50% was 9.01dba and 100% load generated 21.23dba. The silent wings fans are rated for several years of continuous operation at very low power draws. The air intake on the Straight power 11 family of PSUs is funnel shaped. Be quiet says this increases air flow which compliments the wire-free design inside of the PSU. As all electrical connections are on the PCB instead of using cabling which limits airflow. The fan, fan inlet, and wire-free design all contribute to excellent temperatures for the PSU while maintaining a noise level lower than any other component in the system. The entire family of PSUs is fully modular meaning you can choose to install only the power cables that you need. Modular PSUs are extremely helpful when building PCs as they will normally result in less overall work and increased case air flow since the unneeded cables aren’t used. Another interesting feature of the Straight power series of PSUs is that some of the previous Straight power lines such as the 8, 9, and 10 share some types of modular cables. So if you are upgrading from a Straight power 10 series for example, you can reuse the drive, pcie, and cpu power cables. Each PSU on be quiets website has a section for checking compatibility, I would suggest taking a look if you have older models. Be quiet has not skimped on any component inside of the PSU. The Straight power 11 series features upgraded components for tighter voltage regulation even under heavily sustained loads. The capacitors used have been tested up to 105C, though they will likely never see those kinds of temperatures thanks to the air flow design. The Straight Power 11 family of PSUs all carry 5 year manufacturing warranties.

The Silverstone PS14-E case is a great all around case for a sleek new Gaming PC build. The PS14-E offers a tempered glass side panel as well as a steel side-panel option. Inside o the PS14-E you will find plenty of space to fit some of the larger CPU coolers and graphics cards. The cable management and overall case design allowed for a clean look and unobstructed air path for this gaming build. The test system is a Ryzen 5 3600 based build with a GTX 1080Ti. I'll be using the Silverstone AR12-RGB CPU cooler which I reviewed previously as well. Check that out here: https://youtu.be/uHfdEtJQZrA The CPU and GPU temperatures during gaming never exceeded 75C which was great. For enhanced cooling performance, I would suggest grabbing another 1-2 Silverstone FN121-P (https://amzn.to/2FQI7Ct) fans to serve as front air intakes. The build and material quality were excellent, there were no issues upon unboxing. Considering the build quality, the build experience, and the overall value, for the price of ~$68 (USD) this is an easy to recommend Gaming PC Case.

Looking for a Budget CPU cooler for your shiny new AM4 Gaming PC Build? Good Performance? Quiet Fan? RGB Goodness? Check out the Silverstone AR12-RGB CPU Cooler: https://amzn.to/3e1jfmM
The Silverstone AR12-RGB CPU cooler is a newly released model from Silverstone. This budget or midranged cooler will be matched up with a Ryzen 3600 in today's review. The AR12-RGB CPU cooler fared very well in testing during benchmarking. The AR12 kept my Ryzen 3600 cool enough during most of the testing to allow the Ryzen 3600 to boost high enough to hit near max boost speeds. This cooler features x4 6mm heatpipes that run through the base plate for maximum cooling. Silverstone has included an RGB fan with a maximum airflow rating of 68.8CFM. ATX case compatibility for the AR12-RGB cooler should be relatively good as this cooler comes in at 154mm tall. During 3DMark CPU testing, the AR12-RGB was able to keep the Ryzen 3600 at 68.8C on average with peaks at 72.5C. During the tests, the CPU cores held an averaged speed of 3.925GHz. In the AIDA64 CPU stress test, the CPU was kept at an average temperature of 85C with peaks into the 88 to 89C range. The clockspeed averaged during this test was 3.875GHz. I ran the system through my custom Handbrake testing which involves taking an older video, my Ryzen 2600X Build log video and re-encoding it from x264 to H265 at the HQ preset using MKV. The AR12 kept the CPU at 75.4C on average with a maximum temperature of 82C (averaged). The CPU was able to maintain 3.91GHz clocks during the encode. Asus Real bench is a popular benchmarking tool so I ran it through x3 30 minute test passes. The cooler kept the 3600 at 73.9C on average with peaks up to 82C. Similar to Handbrake (because the tests are quite similar but with GPU heat) the 3600 ran at an average of 3.9GHz. Finally, the brutal Prime95 test. This test is really meant to test a cooler maximum cooling ability. It's not reflective of any real applications however so keep that in mind. The AR12 kept the 3600 at an average temperature of 88.1C with peaks in to the 90s at ~93C. Understandably, the boost clocks were reduced to 3.8GHz on average. The AR12-RGB proved to be a worthy CPU cooler with the added RGB feature. The MSRP was roughly $30 US but due to the human malware issues, the cooler currently is around $38 US on Amazon. If you're in the market for a budget cooler with RGB, the AR12-RGB from Silverstone is worth taking a look at!
